What to Expect From Your First Visit

Your First Visit

Our reception and waiting room have been designed to make you feel comfortable and at home. For the moment we only have a receptionist from 8.30 to 12.30 in the mornings and 2 to 6 on a Thursday.

If Vicky or Pauline are in they will greet you, give you a form to fill out and talk you through the process. They are also there to answer any questions you may have.

If the receptionist is not in then Andrew would have prepared a form for you to fill out. It will be on the reception counter. Take a seat, fill out the form and take a breath. Andrew will be with you as soon as possible.

Andrew will then come and collect you from the reception and take you through to the chiropractic office.

Here, you will have a discussion with Andrew, the chiropractor, and talk through your problem.  After that he will have a good idea of what’s going on. He will then do a full examination which includes Posture, balance, range of motion, neurological screening and orthoneural tests to further confirm his diagnosis or to pick up any things that may need referral (We call these red flags).

Please keep in mind that the Chiropractor has to rule out conditions which mimic musculoskeletal conditions but are in fact organic and in some cases very serious. It may be that on the basis of the consultation and the examination he will refer you to your General Practitioner.

Once the examination is done we will organise a second appointment/visit for you to come back and discuss the results.

Your Second Visit

On your second visit to the practice we will discuss the results of the examination and go through the proposed treatment plan step by step. Our chiropractor will answer any questions or queries you may have about the treatments. If you are happy to proceed with the treatment plan you will be given an informed consent form. Once this is signed then we will begin your first adjustment.  After your first adjustment we will organise a suitable date for you to visit for the next adjustment.
